Terms of Use

1. The app

BeWealthy is a personal-finance management app for iPhone. An account is optional and free (Sign in with Apple or Google); with one, your data is securely backed up and available across your devices. It lets you track transactions, accounts, financial goals, an investment portfolio and bonds. Your financial data is stored encrypted on your device and backed up, tied to your account, to our database hosted in the EU. A shared expense pool that you choose to share is synced through our database (Supabase, EU) so invited people can access it; its contents are encrypted with a key derived from the invite code, so only people who have that code can read them. Market data (stock, ETF and crypto prices, exchange rates) is fetched from external services (e.g. Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko) for informational purposes only.

2. No financial advice

Financial and investment decisions are made entirely at your own risk. The developers are not responsible for financial losses resulting from use of the data in the app. Market data may be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable, and investment decisions should not be based solely on data presented in the app.

3. Subscriptions (Pro)

BeWealthy is free to use with optional Pro features available via auto-renewing in-app subscription (weekly or annual), or via a one-time Lifetime purchase, processed by Apple through your App Store account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. The Lifetime purchase is a single non-recurring payment and does not renew. Purchases can be restored on your devices.

4. Service availability

We strive for continuous operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of external services (exchange rates, stock prices). The developers are not responsible for data unavailability caused by failure of external services.

5. Your data & responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and for keeping your account and device secure. Your data is backed up to your account, so uninstalling the app alone does not delete it, use "Delete account" in Settings to permanently delete your account and all cloud-stored data.

6. Intellectual property

The BeWealthy name, app, design and content are protected. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app except as permitted by law and the App Store terms.
